Ciudad de México.- La película de terror Get Out encabezó la lista de proyectos nominados en los MTV Movie & TV Awards.
El largometraje de Jordan Peele, sobre un joven negro quien hace un siniestro descubrimiento al visitar a la familia de su novia, compite en seis categorías, incluyendo Película del Año, Mejor Actuación en una Película (Daniel Kaluuya) y Mejor Villano.
La Bella y la Bestia y Stranger Things recibieron cuatro nominaciones cada una. Les siguieron Atlanta, Game of Thrones, Talentos Ocultos, Logan, Luz de Luna y This Is Us, con tres postulaciones.
Éste es el primer año en el que la premiación, antes conocida como MTV Movie Awards, reconocerá también a programas de televisión.
De acuerdo con E! News, entre las nuevas categorías de esta edición se encuentran Show de TV del Año, Mejor Conductor y Mejor Concurso Reality.
Los premios se entregarán en una ceremonia que se realizará el domingo 7 de mayo en el Shrine Auditorium de Los Ángeles, California.
